Quick Apply Full-time 1 hour ago Full Job Description Job Description - Fabrication Superintendent Worth Steel Fabrication is a full-service structural steel fabricator serving the needs of general contractors in the construction and energy industries.
The Superintendent will use cutting edge technology to plan, direct, and coordinate work activities of assigned jobs and/or projects.
The Superintendent will support management, staff, operations and production, engineering and project management, quality assurance, and other departments to ensure effective use of material and human resources for manufacturing fabricated (welded) items in accordance with cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
Lead fabrication team in accurate, high-quality fabricated solutions delivered on time, supporting our goal of developing long term relationship and ensuring continuous improvement.
Primary Duties Direct and coordinate the daily production employee activities.
Plan and establish work schedule, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals while meeting large project milestones and minimizing costs.
Work with other supervisors to coordinate operations and activities across departments.
Observe work to ensure employees conform to safety, quality, delivery, and cost standards.
Interpret specifications, drawings/blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for workers.
Ensure safety processes and procedures are followed and enforced.
Utilize an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) computer system, or similar software, that tracks orders from quote to delivery.
Review progress of jobs and projects and monitor/ensure quoted profitability targets for labor, materials, and sub-contractors are met throughout the fabrication process.
Forecast workload and schedule accordingly to ensure proper headcount to minimize costs while meeting quality and delivery requirements.
Effectively manage multiple jobs/projects and communicate with the customer (internal and external) on status of jobs.
Build effective and cohesive internal relationships across all departments in the organization.
Must be able to lift material up to 51 lbs.

1.
6
years fabrication supervisory experience; 3-5 years in superintendent role.
2.
Experienced with fabrication of complex designs, and structural items.
3.
General understanding of metallurgy, welding procedures, and ASME Code.
4.
Extensive knowledge of welding processes, MIG, TIG, and FCAW (flux core).
5.
Experience in fitting and welding of different alloys.
6.
Experience with CNC Equipment in the fabrication process.
7.
Computer literate, able to work with Microsoft office tools, and willingness to learn ERP software.
